This is a personal blog, written and run by one person (minonenki). It isn't operated by a company, and it doesn't sell anything or run advertising. This page explains what little information is collected here, and how it's used.

What information is collected

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand, in general terms, how many people visit and which articles are read. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location (usually just country or city level), the type of device and browser you're using, how you arrived at the site, and which pages you viewed. This information is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings to block third-party cookies. For more detail on how Google itself handles this data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Contact form

If you use the contact form on this site, the information you enter (name, email address, and message) is sent directly to my email inbox so I can reply to you. It isn't added to any mailing list, shared with any third party, or used for anything other than responding to your message. I keep these emails only as long as is reasonably useful for following up on the conversation.

Comments

If this site's comment section is enabled and you leave a comment, the name, email address, and website you provide (along with your IP address, for spam-prevention purposes) are stored by WordPress. Your email address is not published or shared publicly — only your display name and comment text appear on the site.

Cookies

Beyond the analytics cookies mentioned above, this site may set a small number of technical cookies needed for basic functionality (for example, remembering that you've submitted a comment form). It does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Articles on this site occasionally link to external websites for reference. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and I'd encourage you to review their own privacy policies before sharing any information with them.

Your choices

You're welcome to browse this site without submitting any personal information at all — none of it is required to read the articles. If you've previously contacted me or left a comment and would like that information removed, just reach out using the contact details below and I'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through the contact form or comments, please let me know and I'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If anything about how this site collects or handles information changes — for example, if I add advertising or a new tool down the line — I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
